Default My Garden Gang

Hi,

So far the following have been seen & photographed on my garden:-

Wood Pigeons
Collared Doves
Blackbirds
Starlings
Sparrows
Dunnocks
Magpies
Robins
Goldfinch
Greenfinch
Chaffinch
Blue Tits
Great Tits

I'm still experimenting with different foods, feeders & locations trying to attract more species ... I just love to sit out & watch them all

Hi Deano,
that is a pretty impressive list you got there, well done to you. Sunflower hearts are well recieved by some species as well as suet pellets. Some people put suet pellets in a peanut feeder. Smaller birds like the tit family Seem to like them. But can get wet during wet weather.

I already use suet pellets, both on feeder trays & in a feeder ... they go like hot cakes I also feed sunflower seeds, nyger seeds, meal worm & general seed mix.

Cool

Hey Deano,

Great list you have there so far, Seems to be pretty similar to my new garden friends list except you have a couple of extras.

I also enjoy sitting out watchimg em too (getting addictive)

Good Luck!

fat balls and suet cakes packed with mealworms and fruit work the best in my garden.
Seed is a bit useless in rainy , damp , weather as it turns to mush and the birds won't eat it. My list is almost completely the same as yours , except I have a couple of coal tits occasionally on the fat feeders.

Just wondering, have any of you tried whole peanuts in one of those mesh feeders?
wondering what types of birds they attract?
