Sorry to hear that Thud. Things can only get better.

I remember you being a long term member like me on here

I believe you have an semi-albino coloured House Sparrow

Hi,

I remember Kathy, but not ScopsOwl - have you changed your handle?

He was a very bold little fellow - turned up this evening about 8pm just as the light was getting yukkie. I had no idea what he was but I thought the beak looked a bit like the Reed Buntings we used to get.

Hi Thud

Yes I did change my handle, as it was for the best for me TBH.

He could be a Finch of some type...with that beak as chunky as it is. It is a shame when any bird species lose their natural colour...in your case Chaffinch, Greenfinch come to mind

Never heard of an albino Bullfinch yet? You never know though

Hi Kathy,
My memory hasn't totally gone then.

I'm moving back to your original thoughts - sparrow. He/she has been since, but if I could just get a snap in good light..

Love his short pants and pink toes.. I've still seen that beak somewhere..

J.

Hi Thud

No your memory has not gone

It is funny how a bird colouration has an added bit of white and it looks a differnt species of buird almost from another planet

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Bl...N4bY8gfamoHIAw

The above link shows Blackbirds in various forms of albinosim - they look strnage but still are the same birds.

Regards
Kathy
