Default Recent Bird Snapshots - Last Two

Last pair coming up - some of the photos are not as good as I would like, seeing as how they were all shot through the back window (except the robin). I am quite happy though, with the one of the sparrow on the feeder, as that is right down the bottom of the garden, which means that the zoom on my new(ish) Nikon Coolpix is pretty good! It was also great to see this LTT, a rare visitor to the garden.

You've certainly been busy there Jandy. Great to see all the different visitors coming in. In your second picture with the two goldfinches, what's the other bird, is it some kind of bunting?

I think it's a house sparrow, Peggo. I don't think I have ever seen a bunting in the garden, but we get a lot of sparrows. They particularly like the fat balls.

I know it seems rather a lot of photos, but I'm bad at processing them on a regular basis, so they tend to build up till I have a large batch.

I think you're probably right. It just looked a bit too 'colourful'. Although when I was going through my book last night I did think it looked a lot like a Spanish Sparrow. Quite obviously it isn't but the likeness was striking.
