Default Great Crested Grebe and Little Grebe

Went to my local patch Friday to see what was about. This Great-Crested-Grebe, in breeding finary, was very obliging as was an adult Little Grebe, too.
Thanks for looking.

Absolutely fantastic pics, Gandalf! So perfect, one can pick out every feather. I am very fond of Little Grebes, but they seldom seem to come as close as Great Cresteds. On Thursday last I was delighted to see a pair of Great Crested Grebes in their courting dance, with great beakfuls of waterweed. Of course I had come without my camera!

Thanks Jandy for the comment. I am fortunate that at my local patch, Moore NR, Nr Warrington, Cheshire, both GC and Little G swim very close to the bank by one of the hides so makes it a little easier for me to photograph them.
Their courting dance is spectacular as is their mating finary which makes them a very attractive bird indeed. I have not been able to photograph their dancing yet but I will ........

Once again, cheers,

G.

ps: here are two more "Dive! Dive! Dive!" and "An Early Lunch" .........
